hey guys. i just made a new blog. its going to be primarily about music. i am giving away the first EP i ever made “Late Nights and Long Drives” in commemoration of my new album coming out soon. i also included some bonus tracks that very few people have ever heard from that era. let me know what you think about the blog.
Dow Drops 450 Points on Rumors of a North Wind
Midday market news seems especially ridiculous in the current economic climate.
I don’t mind that everyone has a stock ticker. It’s the analysis that bothers me.
If I see an article written at noon, it needs to be presented as such.
The Tulsa World website keeps putting up articles during the day that speak in past tense as though markets have closed. When the market swings 1000 points the other direction, they just post a new article in the same mode. In the same day, headlines can change drastically.
“Dow Plummets After Jobs Report”
“Stocks Climb on Unexpected IBM Profit”
“World Markets Decline After Bird Shits on President Bush’s Shoulder”
“Markets Haven’t Been This Volatile Since Last Time Markets Were This Volatile”
End Rant.

people are crazy
here is an article about a couple who met in a chat room and were married in the virtual world of Second Life (as well as the real world). she reciently hired a private detective because she had suspicions that his avatar was cheating. she caught him in the act of cyber-sex, and they are now divorced. if that isn’t crazy enough, she is now dating a guy through World of Warcraft. people are crazy.
Armistice Day
When I was a boy, and when Dwayne Hoover was a boy, all the people of all the nations which had fought in the First World War were silent during the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of Armistice Day, which was the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
It was during that minute in nineteen hundred and eighteen, that millions upon millions of human beings stopped butchering one another. I have talked to old men who were on battlefields during that minute. They have told me in one way or another that the sudden silence was the Voice of God. So we still have among us some men who can remember when God spoke clearly to mankind.
Armistice Day has become Veterans’ Day. Armistice Day was sacred. Veterans’ Day is not.
So I will throw Veterans’ Day over my shoulder. Armistice Day I will keep. I don’t want to throw away any sacred things.
What else is sacred? Oh, Romeo and Juliet, for instance.
And all music is.

Sapulpa, OK Newspaper on CNN
I guess the Sapulpa newspaper does not think that Obama winning the presidency is newsworthy.

One of the Saddest Things I Have Read…
How does this happen?
Change.gov
Barack Obama has launched his ‘Office of the President-Elect’ website. (Change.gov)
It looks like an interesting site, I’m just looking at it myself. What do you guys think? I think it would be nice for Obama to maintain a site throughout his presidency with notes/information/etc.
And Found…..
Just got a call from the Muscogee Police Department. The guy that stole my scooter tried to sell it to a “customer” for $150. He was arrested and put in jail. Eve (my scooter) awaits me in (actually inside) the Muscogee Police Department for me to pick-up (including my $50 matte black helmet). WOOOOOOO! Yeahhhh boyyyyyyy! Thank you Lord. *fingers crossed for no damage*
